Background:
This book's origins centered in my belief that the methods of casting that
are being used today, are not correct. I am excited that finally, at 40, I
have the confidence to pass on to you the knowledge I know about the
Runes.
From my initial insights into the Runes to my years of experience casting for
others I found that two important differences arose: (1) there is no reverse
in Rune casting. Which way you pick up the Rune stone is irrelevant to it's
meaning and (2) when casting, you should always pick from a complete set of
Runes. Each Rune should be replaced into the bag before the next Rune is
chosen. These two differences create the truth I know about interpreting the
Runes.
Chapter One
Chapter one explains to the reader why casting Runes can be important in your
life. Also important is the truth that individuals need to search inside
themselves for the answers to their questions. I will show you exactly how to
make the Runes work for you!
Chapter Two
Chapter two highlights the casting of Runes as one of the best tools for
perfecting and learning to trust our 6th sense/instincts. Many of my Rune
casters describe the experience as if they have a telephone link to god.
Nothing is predestined, a good strong will can make anything happen! I work
into the discussion the concepts of karma and synchronicity to underline the
fact that individuals create their own reality and the need to pay attention
to coincidences in their lives. The Runes will help you to recognize choices
as they arise.
Chapter Three
Chapter three is where I discuss my truth that there is no reverse in Rune
casting. Which way you pick a Rune stone out of the bag has whatsoever no
difference in the interpretation and meaning of the symbol.
For anyone who currently casts Runes and understands what I am talking about,
please have an open mind to my knowledge. Duality does not exist and
certainly not in Rune casting: one Rune symbol = one meaning
Chapter Four
Chapter four discusses my truth about always selecting a Rune stone from a
full set of Runes. If you are casting a spread of 10 Runes, you must select
one Rune stone at a time and replace it to the bag before selecting another.
This sounds simple but is essential for casting.
When the same Rune appears several times in a Rune spread, this is very
significant! You will soon find out that mathematical probability does not
hold true here.
Chapter Five
Chapter five is the chapter on how to cast and the specific types of casting
methods: beginner's first week special, three Rune combo, nine Rune combo,
new moon-full moon journal (one of my favorites), a Rune a day, yin-yang
check-up (right & left side balance), and quick past, present, and
future. I will give suggestions on how and when to use these methods.
Chapter Six
Chapter six defines the meanings of the twenty-five Rune stones.
Forward
In 1983, in Miami Florida, I discovered a bag of Runes at my friend's house.
There was an instant sense of familiarity the moment I reached into the bag
and held several Runes in my hand. It was as if I had done this before. So
much so I took my friend's Runes home with me and began playing and exploring
these stones. Having only the stones and no book, I started naming and giving
meaning to the Runes as if I knew what they where.
Funny enough, back in those days, I never questioned what I knew and just kept
on casting and journalizing my discoveries. For two years I cast the Rune
stones from what I knew to be the correct understanding of these remarkable
communication path to our own higher/inner-self. About two years passed and I
was moving to Europe so I returned the bag of stones to my friend.
When I arrived in England to my new home, there was a bag of Runes, identical
to the ones I had returned, and a book in the garage. I had no idea how they
got there and from then on the Runes and I have never been apart. For the
first time I read a book about the Runes. To my surprise I had named 18 of
the 25 Runes as they were traditionally named; only my interpretation of the
Runes and how to cast them was fundamentally different.
I continued to read many other books and was amazed that something I found so
simple was made so complex and could not stand to wade through the excess of
words. Simplicity is the secret of the Runes - a simple meaning but strong
and powerful message! But most important, simplicity and clarity of their
meanings is what makes the Runes magical.
I now became even more fascinated (okay, obsessed); with the Runes and their
interpretation because I knew that this was not just a coincidence but also a
very significant happening in my life. Following this discovery about known
knowledge (past memory), I went to a medium who regressed be back in time and
confirmed what I already knew, that I had used the stones before in several
past lives/incarnations.
This profession was called a stone master, a person who had the knowledge of this
ancient science. These were people of higher spiritual order who were able to
cast the Runes for other people. I was able to tap into stored past
knowledge, use it in the present, and help myself become my own psychic for
the future. The concept of past, present, and future all exist simultaneously
came to light: also, the whole subject of time and how subjective it is.
Becoming your own psychic means that you will be in perfect balance with your
own time scale. It is very difficult for another person to tell you about
your life, especially the time issues. My purpose now is not to cast Runes
for other people but to teach others how to cast for themselves.
When man first made a mark on a stone or wood and it meant something, to him,
this was your first Rune. People lived and breathed a simplistic balanced
earth-space existence. Man noticed the sun and moon and respected their
powers and the influences they on had us on earth.
I believe today these still are the only two celestial bodies (sun and moon)
we really need to concern ourselves with for they still are the most powerful
influence on everything on earth. As time went on, and humans evolved, so did
the Runes. They evolved into many different ways in many different places at
the same time. To me, it is simple: before language, man conveyed meaning
through symbols marked upon walls or whatever surface that was available and
the Runes evolved from these simple marks.
These markings reflected early man's fascination and desire to communicate
the world he saw and sensed around him: sun-moon (most influential and
important to earth), water-air, fire-ice, life-death, mountains, animals,
seasons, and other cycles of nature. A symbol speaks louder than words and so
the power of the Runes became the unspoken language.
Archaeological evidence shows Runes to have been in use at least 2,500 years
ago and became one of the earliest known writing systems consisting of lines
that were easily carved into wood or stone. I would love to go into more
detail about the origins of the Runes, but that would take another book. Nor
do I desire to be now or ever a contemporary stone master; it is my desire to
teach people to become masters of their own destiny - for people to become
their own psychics.
My goal was to write a book to make the power of the Runes more easily
accessible to everyone. This is that book. I have no doubt that once you read
my suggested methods of casting and the simple, but universal meanings of the
stones, you will be able to sit down, cast your first Runes and obtain a
reading that will enlighten you. If this book is your first introduction to
the Runes, you are on the right path! For the more experienced Rune casters,
give the Rune information I know a chance.
All I can ask is that you keep an open mind. Only incorporate the knowledge
of information on the Runes that I know to be the truth if it feels right for
you. So, open up your mind, cast your Runes, and confirm what your instincts
are telling you. You can make miracles happen in your life by casting the
right choices for your own future. To know the answers to your questions
yourself is a wonderful place to be!
